The lost of a COW!

“I need your help and I called the Vet.”   The one thing I can’t stand hearing out of my husband’s mouth.
This weekend sucked for the kids, husband, the farm and me.
This weekend we didn’t lose one, we lost two cow’s and calf’s. The vet attempted everything to assist in saving our cow’s.
When losing our cow’s, it’s like losing a piece of the farm and my heart. These animals are our living and our way of life. Yes, we make a profit off of them in the end, but that doesn’t mean we don’t get attached. It doesn’t mean that we don’t love them. Because we all, really do.
We do everything possible even call the vet more than once even on the Holiday (Labor Day). There is nothing we won’t try to save our cows, but, Sometimes they just die. It’s not fair to the farm or us that love our cows. We bring new life into the world each year and watch the entire life cycle. It’s so much more than meat to us.
